Hierarchical Linear Modeling: Understanding Applications in the MSP Projects

Description

The purpose of this webinar is to demystify the use of Hierarchical Linear Modeling (HLM) for Math and Science Partnerships (MSP). When conducted properly, HLM can be used to account for hierarchical structure of research designs and multiple levels of research data (e.g., students nested within classrooms). This webinar will include an introduction to HLM, discussion appropriate use of HLM, and examples of HLM use within MSP projects. The goal of this webinar is to help participants be prepared to answer the following questions: What is HLM? When is HLM the appropriate technique for analysis? How do I conduct HLM analyses and accurately interpret results?
